Mindfullness

 Hi bloggers, today I am blogging about Mindfulness. Mindfulness is where you relax and focus on your body. One of the main topics we do in Mindfulness is yoga. Yoga is  something that you do when you want   to calm down your body. My favorite pose is child pose because you can feel your breath laying on your knees. Our Mindfulness teacher was Miss Ikonofo. She told us just to relax and calm down this is just a moment for you. She also said that when you're angry or other emotions you just have to take deep breaths. At the end of Mindfulness we had relaxation for 5 minutes. It was really relaxing and tiring. Thanks for reading my blog post.

Skateboarding

                                       🛹Skateboarding🛹

Hi bloggers, my name is Leilah. Today I am blogging about skateboarding. At skateboarding, we had two coaches named Ben and Laurence. During skateboarding we got to learn heaps of tricks such as 360 turns, tick tacks, balancing, how to stop, and parts of the skateboard. My favorite skill was balancing because when I was riding the skateboard and I didn't trip or fall off.

 The front of the skateboard was the nose and the back of the skateboard was the tail. If you wanted to ride a skateboard you had to wear a helmet at all times so you didn't break any of your bones. We played what's the time Mr Wolf to learn how to stop which was hard. We got to learn how to do a Willie jump, they were hard. A willie jump is when you make the skateboard lean on your feet and then you try and land on the board for three seconds. It was exciting to learn how to skateboard I had loads of fun. Can't wait to learn more.

Art coloring book📘📘✏✏

Hi bloggers, today I am blogging about our fun activity from the    Summer Learning Journey art coloring book. In the middle block Mr Margret came into the classroom to talk to us about art coloring book online. On the art coloring book website is famous art that you can color in. I picked the Moon masque. I tried to make it similar which was really tricky because there were lots of different colors to pick from. It was really inspiring for me to create my own kind of work. Waikowhai Intermediate visit

Hi bloggers, today I am blogging about the Waikowhai Intermediate visit. We got to meet to new kids from other schools and we got to meet our new teacher. I was in room 9 with Miss Berry. The kids  that was in my class was Jacob, Disaree and Teuila. We were talking about all the rules and what will happen when we start.Then we got to draw in a number 9  what you love and what represents yourself.

 I put my favorite video game: Among us, pictures with sports balls, some patterns. and my signature. Sadly we didn't get to finish it because we had to take photo's for next year. After our photos we headed to he hall to listen to further instructions. After the visit me, Disaree, Teuila and Nirvana-jade went with Disaree's mum to back track and went back to learn more.

Production

 Hi Bloggers, its me Leilah. Today I am blogging about our production we had last week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. On Wednesday and Thursday it started at night and on Friday it started in the morning. Our production was about Jasmine and Aladdin. In Jasmine and Aladdin, I was a street kid. The starring was Jasmine ( Brittany ) Omar ( Aysha ) Aladdin ( Masi ) Geewiz ( Jonathan ) and Persia ( Hosanna ) and the Genie ( Ari and Madison ). My favorite dance was Haumia's because it had a lot of actions that I didn't know.  The whole school helped to make this show happen. Miss McGrath was the director, Mrs Rai and  Mrs Najak did the costumes, Miss Sands and Miss Daly were helping backstage, Mr Riceman did sound system and the other staff taught their class dance. I love acting and wish to do it in the future. Thanks to Waikowhai Intermediate for letting us use their hall.

                                   Mindfulness 

Hey bloggers, it's me Leilah. Today I am blogging about mindfulness. At mindfulness Miss Ikinofo showed us how to do mindfulness. My favorite part was the relaxation where you had to lie down on your back and relax and to stay calm. There were four rules that we have to do in mindfulness. To be kind, be curious, to be patient and to stay in the present. We learnt that if our mind is in a storm full of thoughts you could calm yourself with mindfulness. The yoga poses we did at mindfulness was table top, child pose, under dog, snake and butterfly pose.

Family drawing

 Hi blogger today I am blogging about a drawing of my family culture for art. In my drawing I put red and blue for traditional colors. I put words that describe my Family like powerful, outstanding Samoan and Unique.  what makes them special. I put the Samoan flag  and some hibiscus. and on the sides the are little korus. and some more Samoan designs. It was really fun to do and wish to do it again. I hope you guys are doing well and safe there are photos down the below.
